    Beautiful photos.

  7. How do you make it so the subject isn't greatly affected with such shallow depth of field (F1.8)??   When I shoot at F2.8,  i already have trouble keeping important aspects of the subject in focus.

  8. I want to jump in here… To be frank, I think having the hand near the face in photos usually looks posed if not just awkward or unnatural. It's more of a distraction for the viewer than an element that draws the eye to the face.

  9. LOVE YOUR VERY SEXY SEDUCTIVE BRITISH ACCENT!! <3 <3 :*

  13. I subscribed to your channel simply because you guys focus on photography the art form, not the gear. I have gear and like using it but when I go on a shoot it's about using it for a creative out come not the brand or version. Keep up the great job

  16. We have just received over 2 feet of snow here in the Boston area – and now I'm motivated to work with a model on snow shoes this coming weekend! Thank you as always Imogen for your weekly video inspirations

  17. Hi. Really good videos! Just a quick question (it might be silly one!) but on the snow shoot video did you use any kind of flash? Assuming nit given the huge amount of natural light in the photos but would be keen to know. Also, any king if filters used?

  18. Thx! Useful tips!

  19. 7:29 As well as the filmy black veil across her face, the black hood framing it and that particular expression, there's also no apparent lipstick to provide any highlights, so the model has a very pale, ill, washed-out look that adds to the dramatic, sinister appearance.  Her face is lost in the hood, rather than being emphasised, and the only splash of colour from her hair is well away from the face proper.

  20. Next time while snowing. Use 2 speed lights. One behind the model's head and one on camera. Try it.
